Last week
Natalia's gift arrived here in Holland, all the way from the States. I was so glad they arrived safely and in mint condition. It was well packed and in an inner box as well. All to prevent it from damage or -even worse!- loss. Cos I cant imagine what's more upsetting then loosing miniatures through the mail.
But they got here safe! I'd left the next day for a holiday, but returned this weekend. Now I had the change to play with it... I just love how the color fits so well with the initial color (my favorite) of the walls.
But most of all the detailing, it's just a-ma-zing! The minute gold trim, the uniform embroidery, the tip of the shoes, their sole's, everything! This set is a wonderful result of Natalia's skills and eye for detail. I've written it to you when they arrived, but I'll say it here again: thank you so much for giving this change to your readers Natalia.
I could picture the lady of the house getting ready in her parlor... Is there some nice see-through lingerie in the drawer? Will she wear blue-green like her shoes? Or nude? Or...?
felicidades, es un regalo precioso!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pieces both, you are a lucky girl! :)

Beautiful! I love the gold trim, so perfectly in scale!
ReplyDeleteAbout the lingerie...I am sure the lady has several nice sets, but at least one to match her fab shoes.
Just goregous, it's hard to believe they're in miniature.
ReplyDeleteThe gift from Natalia is absolutely gorgeous. I'm curious to see what's in the drawer. ;)

I wondered if they have arrived yet!!! Beautiful and they fit the room so well, I can see the lady of the house sitting on a sofa after coming home from a party or shopping???? resting her tired feet on the footstool having a last glass of wine or looking at her purchases and wondering how she on earth she is going to explain the big bill to her husband :-) Maybe the newly purchased lingerie will let him forget the bill ;-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, i've thought bout that scenario too Elga! But that would have required lots more attributes; heaps and heaps of shopping bags Haha. And I don't have them (?)
ReplyDelete@ Eliana, I'll let your imagination run wild XD
Hmmm, I have yet to see a miniaturist stopped by what they have or not have ;-) Bags, I suppose you could make them or buy them, a shoe box or two (I think this lady loves shoes), a hat box, you could have so much fun with this, I will look and see if I have any printables somewhere that can be made into bags etc, most can just have tissue paper peeping out and we can make up our own stories on what she bought!!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you're so right. I had already started to ponder on making them cos if you can't find stuff.... you make it yourself. It's time that's the precious factor in the matter. But I'm all for printables (yes please) and likewise our imagination to fill the bags with.
ReplyDeleteMiniatures always take time, ha, I know the day I die I will have many unfinished projects and still lots of ideas I never got to do, BUT nobody will be able to say I was bored!!!!!! Hope I live to a 100!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe shoes look really nice! The lady probably needs more of those. I also like your curtains very much.
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly lovely items and thank you for the link.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos of your minis! I'm so glad I found your blog today! :-)
