In the struggle between Spring and King Winter there seems to be status quo at this moment. 1-1 for both. At night it freezes a few degrees. When day breaks the tiered King retreats to let Spring appear. But Spring is in a sloppy state; poring rain and more rain and just a few degrees above zero...

Fortunally Spring seems to try a new tactic, that of the element of surprise. Most snowdrops in the garden are single ones but some are double ones; Galanthus nivalis “Flore Pleno". Surprise surprise!
